easy.panelling Lite v1.1 for Blender 4.0 (Geonode Addon)

easy.panelling is a non-destructive hard surface geometry nodes based panelling tool which helps you easily and quickly create panels with consistent shading for your objects.

Quickly add panels to your hard surface mesh.

Addon based on Geometry Nodes for Blender 4.0 (v1.0 works with Blender 3.6).

This addon lets you setup a similar modifier stack as the usual Edge Split + Subd panelling workflow, but this tool replaces both of these modifiers and apply a vector repositioning so that you get the same result as if you would setup a complex scene with a manifold mesh and a another mesh composed of a bunch of splitted panels shrinkwrapped onto the base manifold mesh. 
This technique allows for a perfect shading for your hard-surface project, and everything is all setup on one single object, making the workflow as pleasant and fast as possible.
Finally a tool that lets you see the final result of a perfect mesh panelling process while modelling it.

Now supports and works based on Vertex Crease thanks to Blender 4.0

easy.panelling used to work based on vertex groups in order to pin vertices, it now uses vertex crease, which is faster to setup and offers more flexibility because of the crease weighting.

What's in the Pro version?

With the Pro version, you get access to two additional features to complement your workflow.

1) Panel Gap

Quickly and easily setup a panel gap factor for your mesh, this will make your hard-surface stand out, most hard-surface projects benefits from a little gap added between the panels composing the mesh. A nice touch of realism made easy.

2) Face rescaling

This option allows for quickly setting up to 3 materials that you can assign to the faces of your mesh, each materials will define a mesh part that will be rescaled by the normal orientation of its faces in order to easily create offset parts such as the windows of a car for example.
